butler gun show

This morning went to Butler gun show after paying my $8. entry it didn't take long to realize I got ripped off. I have been to this show before and this one was a joke. Quite a high percentage of tables set up but covered as there was no one there to man them. also a higher number of empty tables. Take that with the 3-4 set up with knives only, the guy selling jerky and the lady selling lamp shades(or something). Aisles were twice as wide as I've ever seen there. At best it looked as if the place was 1/2 full of gun related gear. Prices were exorbitant as usual and nothing to get excited about.

When this show was at the Expo Mart in Monroeville years ago they filled both sides of the building. Prices were competitive due to the sheer volume of dealers and merchandise. When the show screwed up and got kicked out of the Expo Mart it moved around a bit and got smaller and smaller. Now you have fewer dealers trying to sell the same overpriced firearms for the last 15 years. The PA Gun Collectors Assn was huge. I often wondered with the sheer volume of traffic why they did not try to purchase a building and rent it for other venues. I have went back to the show when they were at Pittsburgh Mills and Butler and it gets progressively worse. Never again.
