Savage 93R17 BTV 17hmr

Just found out I just won this weapon. Anyone have one and how do they shoot. I been looking at getting a 17 just never picked one up.

Congrats on winning it... You'll be glad to have one in your arsenal. I picked one up mainly for groundhog management around the house. With my .22, I'd often hit chucks square, only to have them get up and run under my shed and die there, stinking the place up for the next week or do. That hasn't been a problem with the .17. With a cheap BSA Sweet 17 scope, I can get MOA off the bench at 100 yards, which is plenty good enough for me. The only modification I did to mine was to disassemble the Accutrigger and polish everything, which made a pretty good trigger even better. Overall, a very solid gun and a great shooter.

I have one and it shoots well , I know some guys say its a 200 yd gun but I'm still not sure .As long as I keep my shots at 100 to 125 its a killer .Living in 2B we are restricted to rim fire only so my only options are the 17 or 22 mag if I want some distance . Try some different ammo because they all shoot a little different , other than that you will be happy.
