I was looking at a local sporting goods store and found an old pearless shotgun without damacus barrels. the stock is fair and has a crack in the forearm and a piece of wood missing from the but. they are asking $150 for it. I was wondering what you guys know about these guns and if it is worth what they are asking and safe to use with high brass upland game bird loads.
Peerless shotguns were made by Crescent arms Co. An old manugacturer of utilitarian American shotguns, I think J. Stevens bought the rights to make them from Crescent. Without the damage you describe they are selling in the 175.00 range. Make sure it is tight and on face before you buy.
