DickyDo Concealed Carry

So....I want to conceal carry a full size semi handgun....and I have a dicky-do (my belly sticks out further than my dicky do)...

Any tips? I'm thinking about getting the shapeshifter starter kit from alien.

I have a bit of dunlap myself. I carry at the 4-o'clock position, and it hides there pretty well. I normally carry a compact 9mm, but often carry a full-size XDM there as well. I use Firearm Holsters tuckable IWB with both. I've also carried at 10-o'clock crossdraw... it conceals better IMO but sitting is a little less comfortable and drawing requires more mechanics.

what about a 5.11 holster shirt ? its not for quick draw, in a hurry self defense type, but could be an option.

I don't know if it's just me, but I find my 5.11 shirt to do the job, but it's not comfortable. It has a tight neck and rides up over my belly. It definitely requires more theatrics to get to the gun as well. That said, it's sometimes the best options for certain outfits, and it's better than not carrying at all.

Just get a horizontal shoulder holster and wear it under a jacket. Or an inside the pants holster. I don't really understand why a beer gut would have any bearing on carrying concealed unless you wear your gun over your fly.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

I'm a big fellar. I carry a springfield mod 2 in 45 with an Alien 3.0 IWB over back pocket. Works good for me.

Alright, thanks fellas. I just ordered that shapeshifter kit. With that, I can try appendix, IWB, and OWB. So, I'll just try them all out to find what is most comfortable and prints the least. I think 2:00 or 4:00 will probably work best for everyday. I'll probably save the OWB for hunting season.

I am a big dude also. I carry a Glock 30 and Taurus 605 357 (Summer). I use kydex IWB for my 30, and a cloth IWB for my 605. Bigger guys need the iwb to keep from printing or straight up showing your gun off. Checvk out ebay, Kydex rigs go from 20 to 40 bucks and you can't beat them.
