CC maximum range ?

What do you carry and at what range do you start to scatter? I believe my expectations are too high for what I carry. I have a XDS 45. I believe it's 3.3. And I am very good at ranges that I could pistol whip you with. Even out to about 20 feet. Beyond that for whatever reason they get scattered with that pistol. Going to buy a whole bunch of different kinds of ammunition and see if that fixes it. I'd like to be at A pistol range and be able to shoot that gun effectively. I have no issues with the full-size. But that's not my carry gun. One of the things I struggle with is the size of my hands. I seem to want to catch the slide with the XDS. And so I know that I tend to grip it differently ever so slightly. Basically because it hurts to catch it.

Start close, 5 or at most 10 yards. Concentrate on the basics of trigger squeeze and sight alignment.

When you can consistently put your shots into one big hole at 5 or 10 yards then move out another 5 yards. Continue until you are satisfied with your accuracy at the distance you choose.

In PA most PDs qualify at 25 yards max. It was not too long ago 50 yards was the max range. Fifty yards is a good goal but 25 yards is more practical in the real world.
