Is it lead?

Working on cleaning the rifles and and getting the copper fouling out and so far so good on the first one and not being new to cleaning just want some opinions. Now I see what appears to be a lighter color grey on the lands and not in grooves.I think it would be lead/ or just discoloration, but with copper jacketed bullets it would not seem possible to be lead unlike shooting lead wad cutters in my pistol I use to have?Is it recommended to keep scrubbing with a brass brush to get that out since my patches come out clean, but does not take this off if it indeed comes off the lands.

I don't think it's lead since it will eventually come out with brushing and there is no way a copper jacketed bullet leaves lead in the bore.

Your original message is a bit confusing. "....and so far so good on the first one ..." are you cleaning two rifles or are you just referring to cleaning out two substances from the same barrel? When you say "Now I see ....", are you referring to after you cleaned out the copper?

Are you using a copper fouling removal agent? If so, which one?
