Savage rascal

Does anyone have a Savage rascal? I bought one as a Christmas present and would like to get a sling for it. Anyone have any suggestions on a slING for such a small framed gun?

Good luck. I bought one a few years ago for my boys to learn on. 2 of my 3 sons have carried it in the woods so far, and it works well for them. The only problem I have had with it is the sling!! I made one out of an old leather belt for it, mounted it to the studs, and no matter how I adjusted the length, the gun always tipped at the top. The forearm in that gun is too short and the stock doesn't have enough counterweight. I ended up getting a barrel clamp and moving the attachment point up in front of the forearm. It doesn't win any beauty awards, but at least the kids can carry it without it spinning upside down! If you find a better option, let me know!!

Will do, thanks for the reply! I hadnt thought about putting the barrel clamp on. I had two that I wouldnt be able to find a sling that would allow for that much adjustment to make it worthwhile and the second was the balance issue you have.
