Bought a 280 venture a few months ago. Loaded up some 140gr Accubonds and they shot right under MOA so I took the gun to South Carolina and shot a hog with it back in May. I knew the gun could probably do a little better accuracy wise and I wanted to try heavier bullets. Needless to say, the gun likes the heavier bullets. I only loaded three rounds for each load and tried them out at 100 yards. Here's 150gr Ballistic tips. The first two shots were on the right. I moved it over two clicks and up two and fired the third shot
Next were the 160gr Accubonds. I don't usually load hot but I wanted to push the 160's as much as I could and a few guys on Nosler's reloading forum use this load. The load is one grain over Nosler #5's max load of 58.5gr. The #6 manual actually dropped the max to 54.5. They showed no pressure signs, even in the 85 degree weather.
