So, after reading this article, I was considering what calibers I would need to hunt all of the species I plan to hunt. While that might vary per each person, I'm now ordering a .17 Fireball for Fox. I have a .223 for yotes, 7mm-08 for whitetail, and .270wsm for larger game. Might need one bigger for bear?
What are the rifles you think fit into the categories for the different sized game you will hunt, what are your preferences?
Sure a 30-06 or like gun, with good shot placement, can kill most anything, but it is not ideal for all species so let's hear your breakdown.
IF YOU SEND ME A PM, I WON'T GET IT USUALLY UNLESS I SEND ONE FIRST. REPLY & TELL ME TO PM YOU

Swift for those far away hogs 4th. .270 the deer hunters rifle, and 4th. 300rum for the harder hit... Sorry but they are my on hand guns and thats my list. One to add soon .243 ?? 25.06?? 6.5 Creedmore??? What to do What to do??? I can't live with one gun, just one woman....later
7x57 (2)for deer and smaller. 30-06 for truck gun. 375 H&H for fun. 458 win mag for Buff. Soon to get a 6.5x55 for smaller stuff. the .17hmr and .22 are just for plinking and the occasional not so bright groundhog.
Le's see I have a .22/250, a couple of .223's. of course a .22 lr, a 6mm, 7 x 57, couple of .270's, a .300 Savage, a .308, a 30/06, a .300 Win., a .338 Win, a 30-40 Krag, a 7x54R. Think I am ready for all of North America. Most often used is the .300 Win. for ghogs on up.
