stainless , blued or chrome lined ??

Is there a better choice , I am old school in that if I were buying anything the barrel would be blued, then I had a thought on the drive home, is stainless better 'cause it is harder? is it less prone to shoot out ,throat burn, what you think, what is your experience. And an after thought what is the deal with chrome lined barrels, harder better? thanks.

All the good AR barrels are chrome lined, but not every AR barrel is chrome lined. It is done for corrosion reasons and durability for the amount of rounds usually put through them.

Re: stainless , blued or chrome lined ??

Its better only as far as extending the life of the rifle.

Most believe that chrome lining a bore makes it less accurate since the thickness of the chroming is not 100% consistent. I don't think you'll find a benchrest shooter using a chrome lined barrel.

And if you don't shoot as much as one of those guys do, why pay the added expense anyways.

The deer didn't disappear.... the 250,000 guys who used to walk around and make the deer move did.
