Here's one for you ammo buffs:

Many moons ago I had bought a small box of .22rimfire (acorn shaped) teargas shells. They are about half the size of a short. I just found a little container with 3 of these remaining. Tried to Google them, but apparently they are no longer produced. Anyone ever remember seeing these or even having some?

I remember taking some out while rabbit hunting, carrying my Frontier Scout with them in. We found a rabbit in a set of disc harrows and I shot one into it, thinking it would run the rabbit out. WRONG!! lol. I found out bunnies don't have tear ducts. There was snow on the ground and my buddy picked up some of the snow that had the tear gas in it and "washed my face" with it. That was NOT a pleasant rest of the day. Had burny eyes and a nasty headache. Later we all had a good laugh about it.

I gotta go agitate the techies!

I may have a tin of them. I'll have to check to see if I do.

I believe they were made in Germany.

Thanks for refreshing that, Dogface. You are correct. They were made in Germany. That part of it I had completely forgot. You must be as old as dirt like I am!! LOL

Ben, when I was a kid (now 62) you could get the gun and the shells from ads in the back of every rag magazine and comic book.
Ah the good old days !

I have some RWS .22 BB Cap cartridges that have an acorn as the headstamp on the cartridge.

Our forefathers didn't bury their guns. They buried those that tried to take them.
