22 Hornet

The powder you're looking for is Hodgden Lil' Gun. If you're interested, there is quite a bit of info on Hornet reloading on Rimfirecentral.com. Look up posts by Vincent. A lot of detailed info from him. I'm not as serious as he is, but I did gain some great info.

Copied from Hodgdon's website.

Lil’ Gun is an advanced technology propellant designed for 410-bore shotshell reloaders.

The 410 shotshell has long been difficult to load due to shortcomings in powder fit, metering, and burning characteristics, but no longer. Lil’ Gun was designed to fit, meter and perform flawlessly in the 410-bore. No more spilled shot or bulged cases.

In addition, Lil’ Gun has many magnum pistol applications and is a superb choice for reloading the 22 Hornet.

I've used H110 for years in loads for the .22 Hornet in my T/C Contender. Great powder. This year I played around with Lil' Gun and came up with an excellent load.

Most every shotgun powder out there can be used in centerfire cartridges as well. Every pistol round I have loaded now is loaded with shotgun powder... I decided to "stock up" when powder was non-existent.
9mm-Red Dot
40S&W - Unique
45ACP - PB
When those are all gone I'll be using 700X to standardize everything.
The hornet will be next year as I picked up an old Savage Hornet and a Martini Henry chambered for K Hornet this summer. Thank god I already load 410 otherwise I'd have to go buy more powder.

Remember, shoot straight and shoot often.
Good... Bad... I'm the guy with the gun.

I worked up this load in my 10" T/C Contender.

40gr Vmax, 12.5gr Lil' Gun, CCI 500 Small Pistol Primers, COL 1.900"
