Broken Leupold

Seen a gun fall over in the field tonight, shattered the objective lens. Didn't even scratch the finish! Anybody ever dealt with Leupold service?

Re: Broken Leupold

They will fix it free, no matter the circumstance. You may have to pay the shipping.

Re: Broken Leupold

I had to pay shipping each time but I've sent the same scope in 3 times for a broken erector assembly and they fixed it quickly each time.

Re: Broken Leupold

Darn near best CS in the biz! Send in they'll fix. Minus shipping. They would pay shipping if it was their fault.

Re: Broken Leupold

I've never had to send one back, but friends have. Pretty good service, from what I can see?

Some years ago a buddy had a VX-II fog up in Idaho. Sent it back and they returned it repaired, refinished and w/upgraded power adjusting ring. He initially insisted they had just replaced it with a new scope.

I asked why they wouldn't have just noted that it was replaced, rather than going to the trouble of including a description of the work done? Finally pointed out how his ring marks were barely visible beneath the new gloss finish.

I sent a Leupold of mine back last year for an erector lens repair. It was back to me in two weeks fixed.

Re: Broken Leupold

I have sent an early 1980's scope back that would not hold zero - they fixed without question - great service, quick turn around, easy to deal with. Leupolds are worth every dime in my mind.

Re: Broken Leupold

I've known guys that have picked up used Leupys at yard sales, never even shot them, sent them back and gotten them re-done, cleaned, etc. for FREE. Once, the scope was so badly broken, they sent him a brand new scope.
