.300wsm

Hey all, I recently obtained a .300WSM and was wondering what seemed to be shooting the best (factory ammo) for the masses. Currently I have a box of the Winchester XP in 150 grain. I planned to get it on paper with that and go from there. I would like to start chipping away at some reloading equipment as I know that will help me on my way to hopefully having myself a 500Yd gun. Thanks for your input.

Can I getta BOOYAA?

I have a .300 Win mag and have found that Sierra 165 boat tails shoot best out of it. No experience with the .300

Mine really likes the federal 180 grain soft points. Does pretty well with the 165 trophy bonded tips and winchester bonded 180's but the federal soft points shoot into a real tight group. Nice thing with the 180's is they aren't going at light speed so typical cup and core bullets hold together pretty well. 150's almost need to be a premium because the speed is to much for a soft bullet.

I've had two 300wsm's and both shot extremely well with the same load of 64gr of H4350 and a 180gr accubond.

I run RL19 in mine, but have used H4831sc and H4350 for good results, too.
