Super Comanche Ė Help needed!

Hereís the story. I have one of these super Comanche single shot 45lc/410. It has a very heavy/rough trigger pull so I decided to take it apart and do some home gunsmithing. I only wanted to do some polishing and put it back together. BUT, even though I watched how it came apart I cannot get this thing back together properly. I did get it together once where it seemed to cock and fire, but the trigger didnít want to reset properly. There is only one spring other than the hammer spring and it must reset the trigger somehow. Only four parts, but I just canít figure the spring out in this thing. If anyone knows how these parts go back together or can point me to someone who does I would appreciate it. I have included some pictures of the parts and how I think it should work, but ????

And please donít bust my chops about the home gunsmithing. I have done it with some of my other guns without much problem. I just like to see how things work. But, this one is getting the better of me.

Pic #2 - The fours parts in the trigger group

Pic #3 - Is how I thought it should go, but not sure

Looks to me like the spring should hook under the hammer pin because of the wear on the bottom of the hammer and the top of the trigger...good luck.

I've had this happen to me too(not this particular gun), what a pain. Here is a tip from an old mechanic friend of mine, take a picture of it before you take it apart

I agree with Wiley about the spring.

That spring should be under tension as the parts are assembled. If that is the only spring it should power the hammer and trigger rebound by pushing both in different directions.

Without having it in my hand I can only guess but if the parts and spring are in their correct positions I would try to put the top arm of the spring behind that third part, sear?, and see if that corrects the problem.
