Just Curious - Kids Shooting Programs

I had a conversation with a co-worker today. He was relating a story from last night from his son's first meeting / practice for a youth trap leuage.

How wide spread or available are these programs across PA?

Perhaps, if your club or organization sponsors any youth shooting teams or events they could be listed here in this forum.

I have no kids anymore. Grown and gone, but having this information available for those with kids and unaware of the resource might appreciate it.

Is your position a short term gain - or a long term loss? Separate the issues.

Re: Just Curious - Kids Shooting Programs

Mckeesport Sportsman club has a once a week 22 shoot for kids that is free and they don't need a gun. It teaches them gun safety and rifle handling and target practice. They also have a youth day in July that is free and kids can shoot anything from a 22 pistol to a WW2 M1. Very fun day for all.

Coraopolis Sportsman club also has a once week 22 shoot for kids that is free.
