Re: new win model 70

I heard the new new ones made in SC by FN are pretty good. They shoot alright with factory loads and can be extremely accurate with reloads.

Re: new win model 70

My 308 easily, my 300WSM I've only "played" with it to this point but I would say it should be.I've shot the 308 quite a bit and it beats 1 MOA without a problem. The new trigger is also very easy to adjust.

Re: new win model 70

Next question - same subject.

The featherweights v the older heavier Mod 70's. Does the light weight increase the recoil noticeably? I would think the weight would reduce it.

Is your position a short term gain - or a long term loss? Separate the issues.

Re: new win model 70

Bluetick- I have a featherweight .270 from the 80's or 90's can't remember. Has little recoil. I have been shooting it since I was 11. It has served me well for the 4 years I have been shooting it.
