Re: 10-22 blank clip

I have hunted with a few guns converted from semi to manually operated in PA.
I don't think your thing would work.
As during my inquires on what was legal and what was not.
They seemed to place a huge amount of whether or not your gun could be recoverted back to semi while in the field.
If all you had was a "zero shot clip" stuck in place of the normal clip , my money says that would not fly as I have found out.

Re: 10-22 blank clip

If you are into custom 10/22 stuff there is a sweet new action coming out here soon.........it is actually a toggle bolt receiver like a biathlon rifle, but is designed to take all 10/22 accessories (triggers, barrels, stocks, clips etc....)

Its a little pricey, but $300 isnt that bad if you are building a custom anyways....

Re: 10-22 blank clip

Won't work to skate on the semi conversion, according to what I have been told by someone who knows. The rifle is still a semi, regardless of any attempt to make it a temporary single shot.

The blowback action would need to be modified to manual and that really isn't doable with most blowbacks.

Actually you probably could disable the blowback by using a heavy bolt handle on the outside of the bolt..........maybe one similar to the ones that are made for the 17 mach2 and 17 HMR only heavier.......

You could probably basically get someone to make you a really heavy bolt handle....and they are easy enough to change with a 10/22
