Gun Values need help

In December I had a few guns stolen. I was wondering if somebody that has a bb could PM me and look up what I should put on the claim for value.

thanks,
KK

Look them up on Gunbroker and see how much people are paying. Just don't use the internet asking prices which are sometimes very high or the useless bluebook.

I was down this road once, had a burglary in the 80's. Your adjuster may ask you to get replacement values, if your stolen guns are no longer in production. As a pretty serious collector I can tell you that those books are not accurate, don't cheat yourself. If you get a figure that seems low, you have the right to have a certified appraiser contact your insurance agent. Sorry for your loss, gun thieves should be tarred and feathered !

Re: Gun Values need help

expect the insurance company to dispute the values, if you have any appreciable number of guns, or a high total.

Re: Gun Values need help

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm the guy that emailed you a couple times about the Richland Gun Shop mauser you mentioned back in 2009. I don't mean to be a pain. But, please let me know if it is available. AND, if by chance it was one of the guns that were stolen, let me know and I will keep an eye out for it since I have some dealers looking for these for me since I collect them. Thieves are low-lifes and need to be stopped. I do what I can. Let me know. Send me a PM. Thanks. Richland
