Re: boxes for shipping guns

Some gun shops have boxes from selling firearms and people leaving the box behind.

Re: boxes for shipping guns

I have bought Hard cases from Cheaper than Dirt. Approx 20.00 Bucks. They come in card board box's which I tape up pretty heavy and ship Hard Case and all away with Gun.

While "The UPS Store" will not ship a gun (rifle or handgun), they will sell you a rifle box (says rifle box right on it).... ironic huh?

ULine has a number of sizes to choose from. They have a warehouse in the Allentown area where you can get singles.

You can get them cheaper than that...I always ship guns in a hard case.

Re: boxes for shipping guns

I'm with ken. I get the Doctel (sp) single case for $9.99 on sale. then I tape the hard case closed with ship to ship from info inside. then wrap with heavy brown craft paper and re-address the from/to. then cover the from/to onfo with heavy clear scotch brand cellopane tape. If the gun is for repair, I always get the csame hard cae back.

When you ship a gun I add LOTS of extra balsa wood blocks and bubble wrap inside the case so no matter how hard the delivery service tries they can not get the gun to move/cant inside the case. Especiall need the muzzle/front sight and the butt.

I've used the shipping boxes from Midway, they're very well made.
