Savage Mod. 12 stock

I am thinking of putting a choate tactical or varmint stock on my savage mod. 22-250 .Are there any pro's or con's by doing this.Is there an advantage of using the Tactical over the varmint stock? I will be using this rifle mostly for coyotes and ground hogs. Thanks

Re: Savage Mod. 12 stock

One thing I remember about the tactical one I had was that it wasn't the easiest to shoot off of a bipod, the varmint one may help since it's level.

The Choate varmint stock is quite heavy. I had one on a 6.5x55 woodchuck rig for a little while and I wasn't overly fond of it.
