Need opinions!! Mossburg Patriot

Thought about a Mossburg Patriot in 308 caliber. Love the looks of them, lots of videos on Internet about them. Anyone on here have or use one.? Thanks for your time. Stuffer

Recently, GUNS magazine had a feature review article of this new rifle by Mossberg. They gave it high marks for safety, fit & finish, accuracy, and function. This budget friendly rifle is a keeper for sure!

I was surprised when I took one off the rack and saw it had Mossberg on it. The wood didn't look like the the #2 2x4's they mill the 500 stocks out of! Lol

It definitely looks a lot better to me than a camo or black plastic stock! I've gotten a bad taste in my mouth from Mossberg in the past, so I would be hesitant because of that. Without shooting it or anything, it seemed like a decent gun.

I have been really thinking about picking one of these up in 300 magnum. I've handled a couple and really like the looks and feel of them. If you get one let us know how it shoots.

I bought one in 30/06 from Dunhams for $259. It didn't like the first few loads I tried but it loves cheap hornady interlocks and easily shoots them sub moa. I plan on trying different loads with better bullets when I get time. I just bought a laminate marinecote one in 375 Ruger but I haven't had time to shoot it yet. Only thing I don't care for is their really cheap feeling plastic magazines

Bought one for my Daughter in 7mm/08. I don't like the real soft recoil pad. Sent it to Mossberg and they say they can't do anything. Also told me the Barrel was not accurate. They are going to replace the Barrel and then send it back. Will trade it in for a youth 20GA slug gun.

For $260.00 you can't beat it, the bullet doesn't know what fired it and the animal doesn't care ! The T/CCompass is another great choice, no need to spend a $1000.00 for a hunting rifle..
