shorting a barrel on a rem. 788

was wondering if shorting a barrel would effect accurcy on my 222 . just a thought .

Probably not, may improve. The cutting and recrowning is critical. Need good gunsmith to complete the job.

dont much care if i hurt the value i dont plan on ever selling it just the barrel is long trying too make it lighter and smaller for varmit hunting
