Anyone ever order from them?? If so what are the approximate lead times for orders?

Re: Remington Custom Shop

i have never ordered from them but have been around many 40x rifles. If i was going that route just go to a custom rifle builder. you would probably get better workmanship and have more options. You may find it hard to believe there are custom rifle builders out there with better equiptment than rem custom shop.

Don't find it hard to believe at all, just looking for a certain rifle with a few customizations

Re: Remington Custom Shop

I would just call and ask. They should be able to give you some sort of timeframe.

As far as a custom builder goes....If Bonzy decides a couple years down the road that he doesn't want it anymore it would be much easier to sell than if he had parts put together by a smith IMO.

Re: Remington Custom Shop

It's over a year for most of their models. It is better to find one already done on gunbroker or something like that. There are plenty of them out there right now. Just curious now, what model are you looking for and what little extras are you thinking?

Re: Remington Custom Shop

Possibly looking into a Model 7 MS in 250 Savage, but in place of the laminate I would like to have Walnut?? I'd also like to have the LOP cut down to 12 1/2" if possible.

Re: Remington Custom Shop

I've seen a few .250 Savage's in the Mannlicher Stocks, but I don't think that I have seen one in Walnut. That would be an intereting gun, I hope it works out for you.
