Re: winter projects?

I've only seen Jim Bordens HV match rifles. A number of the guys at the local IBS leauge use them. Jim occasionally shows up but I've never had much opportunity to talk to him. His rifles sure do look good.

All I've got going is a .20 Practical varmint rig. I'm waiting on the barrel from Shilen. I'm hoping to see it any day now.

Are you having it chambered in the basic Middlested or the Ackley Improved version?

I had looked into doing a Middlested AI or a 22-6mmAI but decided to go with the standard .243AI. An older gentleman at the range has built a couple of the 22-6mmAI's for long range prarie dog shooting. They are good shooters but rough on barrels.

Re: winter projects?

I too am waiting on Krieger to ship my barrel. I'm building a 300wsm though. Went with a 11 twist MTU contour to finish at 28". When that gets here I'll have my stock made. Probably going to end up getting a new tube for my .260 too
