Anybody purchase a stock from Boyd's?

My son has been on me to get him a wood stock from Boyd's for his Marlin X gun. Does anyone here have experience with them and were you satisfied? How was the fit?

Moose I have ordered 10 within the last year. All fit perfectly. I haven't had any problems as of yet. They are a bit cheaper then some of the rest in price. I purchased my last for $79 plus shipping.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping to hear! I don't think I have the talent to inlet a stock that doesn't fit.

I got one for my K98....brown lam. The fit was okay, but I still had to work it a bit. I understand there's variations for the Mauser though so that might not be an issue for you. Overall, I was pleased. I will say that the laminated stocks are heavy as heck though!

You really under estimated the ramifications of the boondoggle you have just perpetrated!

I have two of their LH thumb hole stocks for an Encore. Along with a few forearms for the Encore. All have fit perfectly. Pretty nice stuff for a decent price. Tom.

I have 2 from them. One on a Ruger 10/22 and one on a long action Remington 700 - both have dropped right in without issue.

Some of the stocks they make are drop in some are not.

I purchased a thumbhole stock from Boyd's for my Savage 12FV in 22-250. I did have to to some work to it to finally manage to get it to fit. It was a "drop-in" stock as well.

I have three. All were drop in but 2 got a bedding job. The third is waiting until I decide what barrel I'm putting on the Model 70 action. Here's the one I got for my xs7 in 308

I had 1 on a 17HMR I had it was really nice quality. Almost a perfect drop in I had a little bit of work to do but it was literally as easy as a little bit of sand paper and less than 10 minutes.
