Yeah, they had them both in their new flyer.... I think the market must be terrible for big game rifles these days, I know of no one who bought a new deer rifle, some varmint rifles, a long ranger and a few of the worthless noise maker .223's but a big game rifle, none...economy? Waiting to see the election results? Or the massive drop in hunters these days, either or all...nice to see they had them if someone is looking, no line either ..
35s were never very popular but these 2 are at the top of my list. Yes, yes, yes, lesser cartridges will get the job done and they are not long range guns, but how much game is shot beyond 250 yards? When I want a hammer, these will do.
I have a .358 in a Browning BLR. Shoots better than me and I will be using it for does in 2C. Also got a .35 Rem in a Marlin 336 tha will be along some days.
I have a custom pre 64 win m70 in 35 whelen.....absolutely love it. I am a big fan of the mid bores. The 35 whelen and the 338 win mag are by far my favorite hunting rifles and cartridges.
Hunt bear with a 358 blr. They are a nice gun. The old man has done his fair share of killing with the tried and true 35rem. Another excellent cartridge for in the woods.
I turning a 270 carbine in 7600 into a 35 Whelen for 250 bucks jes reboring I gave up looking for a 35 Whelen in carbine I only looked like 7 years straight. I gave up I going to build my dream rifle .
This is exactly what I want to do .....Will they also cut a full length barrel to carbine length??? If you don't mind keep us updated I'm very interested
I'm a certified 35 caliber looney! I have a Win. Model 70 classic feather classic I had re-barreled to 358 Winchester, a Remington 7600 in 35 Whelen, and a Remington 7600 in 35 Rem.
I suppose, true collectors among us would argue I need a Marlin 336 and a Remington model 8 to round out my collection. Or maybe a custom Mauser 98 in 358 Norma Magnum and maybe too an original Remington Model 600 in 350 mag.
If I stumbled on a great deal for a Marlin, I might succumb! But I always thought the Remington Model 600 was ugly!
