Let's choose

If you were buying a new rifle and choosing between these two cartridges which would you get?

When I had neither I bought the 7mmMag.

Re: Let's choose

I'm still working on the basics of a modest collection, and several of those guns have been bought with a long-term variety of ammo availability in mind. .300wm for me at this point, although I wouldn't mind having both at some point.

Neither. There is nothing in PA that I cannot harvest with a .357 or 30-30 with my own cast bullets. I consume what I harvest. To use a belted magnum would be like too much Meat damage for me.

I have a .300WBY. No need for a Win mag.
