Lesson learned Gun work done by gunsmith/chain

I have been thinking over the years how many times I have had large outdoor chain stores and large hunting gun shops perform work on things. Either when you buy a gun there and they do it as a courtesy or you take it there for them to do gun smith work.. 9 times out of 10 you end up having to take it to a good gunsmith or do it yourself.. I can say this because I did work at Basspro... Not ever associate is versed in different areas of equipment.. So if your going to have to do something critical for your firearms take it to a good gunsmith or do it yourself if you can do it..

AND THAT'S A FACT!
If you can't do it yourself they won't be able to either at the store.
Even gun smiths come in different degrees of workmanship?

Most of the BIG stores probably have 1 or 2 people that have an inkling as to what they are doing? The rest remind me of the add about big chain stores where the people are looking at appliances and the guy shows up and says "I'm from fertilizer"!
