First rifle

Do you still own your first rifle? I do it is an Ithica 49 (22LR) single shot lever action my father bought for me on my 11th birthday in 1962. My 6 Younger Brothers and 5 nephews learned to shoot with it as well. I got it back last year and had it completely redone. It cost more to have it redone than it will ever be worth in dollars. But then it has given some great memorizes over the years. I shot a lot of squirrels and rabbits with it as a boy.

Re: First rifle

My first gun is a Marlin Model 783 in .22 magnum. I still have it and still use it. Got it as a Christmas present when I was 8 years old.

I was 18 when I bought a new Parker-Hale in 1971. Had no clue about the maker. The gun was so pretty. As the years roll bye and my collection grew, I make sure it's at camp.
