Hot Rods - Pictures, Mods, and Discussion

What do you all think of this? Pics of your customs or unusual firearm, a brief description and discussion if asked.

Mostly Groundhogs, I like to get it out in Deer season for long shots. I don't shoot it too much; it's kind of a play toy. Way overkill for anything in North America. It pretty much vaporizes groundhogs.

Not my cup of tea in any way, shape, or form, but if it works for you, that's great!

The chambering seems like it'd be pretty neat, though I'd probably be more inclined to run a 338 Lapua on a rifle like that. The 30" barrel seems a bit unwieldy to me as far as practicality is concerned, though I realize it's a niche rifle.

Sorry for being such a party pooper.

Re: Hot Rods - Pictures, Mods, and Discussion

Most of my customized guns lie in one of my true passions.......smallbore target shooting........here are a few of them that I have pics of.....

The bottom one is a Winchester 52D that has the barrel fluted, it was set back and rechambered....the stock is an HS Precision that I gutted the inlet out of and made it fit this action with bedding compound.......this gun also has a Karl Kenyon trigger......24x Leupold

The top one is an Anschutz 1413 in a Wenig stock, the barrel on this one has also been cut down, but from the muzzle end....20x Lyman All American in pic

These two are both 52 C's both in Fagen stocks, the top one has all Anschutz hardware, a Karl Kenyon trigger, and the Scope is a boosted redfield 3200........The bottom one has Freeland hardware, a Canjar Trigger, the scope is a 20x Unertl

Another 52C that I turned into a heavy sporter, the barrel is the factory HB turned to a sporter contour, this one also has a Canjar trigger. 10x Leupold

This is a 10/22 I built from Scratch.........The only original piece is the receiver.......it has a Fagen stock, KIDD barrel, KIDD trigger, and KIDD bolt..........

And finally, another 52C........Fiberglass Bench Rest stock, Canjar trigger, Scope is a Burris Signature 8-32x
