Ruger Stocks

Hey guys, I'm looking for a thumbhole stock for a Ruger M77. It is the older version with the tang safety, not the newer m77 MKII's! Anybody know any sites? The only one I know is Boyd's, and they don't have any.
Thanks.

Re: Ruger Stocks

I also restocked and older model 77 with a Bell & Carlson's camo stock. only problem is where the linkage for the tang safety runs- I had to releive some of the stock with a dremel tool to get the safety to work properly. was not a dropin and start shooting like they advertised

Check with these guys, I have bought from them, and they are quick and cheap, and good quality........

Re: Ruger Stocks

Thanks guys, I don't think I want one of the synthetic's, trying to find a wood or laminate. Going to talk to the local gunsmith tomorrow, see what he thinks.

Re: Ruger Stocks

I didn't think stocky's did synthetics. They are all wood and laminates

Re: Ruger Stocks

The only stocks I see on Stocky's website for an old m77 are synthetic, the Bell & Carlson's.

Re: Ruger Stocks

wow I looked at the site again and you are right. I got really nice thumbhole laminate from them last year for a 257 roberts with the tang safety. Man did that feel nice with that stock......That was why I actually recommended them. Fit was perfect. I didn't have to fit or sand anything.
