Re: 44mag help

I have a Marlin 1894 and have hunted it over the past 30+ years. very good for PA deer, reliable and carries light and comfortable.

Re: 44mag help

You go a long way to get a more accurate rifle than a marlin in the old lever action style. That micro grovong does a great job down range.

Re: 44mag help

Marlin and whatever form the Italian Puma and Brazilian Rossi M92 clones are found in these days.

Still plenty of used Win. M94s around in 44 mag, many of them in the Trapper version. Pedersoli and Uberti also market assorted Win. clones in 44 mag, last time I knew? Both make excellent reproductions of various Win. lever guns and single shots.

I have a Legacy import M92 clone made by Rossi in 44 mag and it's a keeper. 24" oct. barrel and very nice wood, trigger ain't half bad, either. I think Legacy versions are now made in Italy?

Personal choice and opinion here, but the Henry would be so far down my list, ya couldn't find it with a microscope.
