Ruger # 1

I seen a Ruger 1 in 220 Swift the other day.I don,t have a serial # but would any of you all know the date of manufacturer when they produced this cal?I checked Rugers website and apparently they still produce this rifle though not in the swift.I thought it was out of production years ago.

Blue Book lists the 1-B 220 Swift last year being 2006.

Re: Ruger # 1

Ruger chambered the #1V in 220 swift a few years back, I believe it was 2014. The new models are easily identified by the black recoil pad.

Good luck, Tony

I have a #1a SS in .250 Savage and love it. It only likes the Winchester factory ammo and they are hard to find.
Ruger only makes one caliber in each model now and you have to buy them thru Lipseys.com. I remember when they offered 5 or more calibers in each model.
I only own one (so far) and would like another if the opportunity presented.

I have an real old 77 in 220 Swift- heavy barrel- and it is a thing of beauty- it's accuracy, metal and wood and lines.

Bill Ruger made some classic shooting pieces.

Good luck in your quest in finding a #1, they also are a thing of beauty.

Re: Ruger # 1

Really wished I got into #1's when they were plentiful and had many options.

Most likely 900-1200 depending on seller and condition.
