Nikon buckmaster vs Leupold vx1

My wife got me a Gander gift card this year for christmas. I have a Weatherby Vanguard sub moa in 300 wsm with a new boyd's Laminate stock. My question is if you had the choice what scope would you put on out of the 2. A Nikon Buckmaster or a Leupold Vx1 and why. I am really interested in pro's and cons. I've had an older Leupold about 10 years old and had a nikon pro staff. Now looking at something different. I have other high end scopes but kind of flipping a coin because I like both. Looking for opinions.

thanks!

Buckmaster or Prostaff. Leo's are nice if you have the extra money to burn.

90% of my glass is Nikon and I am happy with all of Nikons products.

You can have it when you rip it from my cold, dead hands.........

Never looked through a vx1, but have a buckmaster. I think the buckmaster is a great scope for the money.

Re: Nikon buckmaster vs Leupold vx1

Why anyone would choose a product (Nikon) with a reputation for terrible service over one (Leupold) with a reputation for great service for a few dollars difference in price is beyond me?

Guess some like rolling the dice....

Well when you have never dealt with either company's customer service I guess harder to make a decision. If you had problem's with one than I ask you to post your dealings. That's why I asked pro's or cons. Soooo with that said please do tell because warrantee does play into my decision.

Re: Nikon buckmaster vs Leupold vx1

Get on some other shooting boards and find out about their service for yourself....I never have and never will own a Nikon scope....

No scope manufacturer beats Leupold's lifetime, no -- warranty..period...and their service is one of the best of any product I have ever bought....
