My wife got me a Gander gift card this year for christmas. I have a Weatherby Vanguard sub moa in 300 wsm with a new boyd's Laminate stock. My question is if you had the choice what scope would you put on out of the 2. A Nikon Buckmaster or a Leupold Vx1 and why. I am really interested in pro's and cons. I've had an older Leupold about 10 years old and had a nikon pro staff. Now looking at something different. I have other high end scopes but kind of flipping a coin because I like both. Looking for opinions.
buckmaster, light transmission is 6% better and i think the buckmaster is clearer. vxii in order to get the same optics as a buckmaster. also maybe check out the burris fullfield ii, its my favorite of the three, i have three. i just bought a used one 4.5x14 42 for $150 today and it is like new.
Has it all over the Leupold's...??? I know it's new years eve but you shouldn't be starting already...funny I own 15 of the junk ones and haven't had a single problem, funny, never even thought about buying anything else.
Why anyone would choose a product (Nikon) with a reputation for terrible service over one (Leupold) with a reputation for great service for a few dollars difference in price is beyond me?
Guess some like rolling the dice....
Well when you have never dealt with either company's customer service I guess harder to make a decision. If you had problem's with one than I ask you to post your dealings. That's why I asked pro's or cons. Soooo with that said please do tell because warrantee does play into my decision.
