Re: Selling a rifle in Pa.?

You can actually send it through the mail if you want as long as it's resident to resident.FTF works too.

Re: Selling a rifle in Pa.?

Long guns can be bought and sold with out going through a FFL. Hand guns go through FFL to have background check done

Life's too short to hunt with an ugly dog!
If it's locked up and put away - Your NOT safe!

Ftf is fine on a rifle. However, if sending it has to go ups and by law if it changes ownership it must be sent to a ffl and the background check run.

Are you sure?..I sent one through the USPS last summer...And they were about half the price of UPS.

I don't think this is accurate. I think if sending it, you can send in a box at that post office and sent directly to the other individual with no FFL involved.

Re: Selling a rifle in Pa.?

Do yourself a favor and call your local ffl and ask them. The last thing you want is a firearms related felony. Last I checked the post office had a policy against sending firearms.

it can go any shipping method. usps, ups or fedex as long as the person getting it is a resident of the state, no need for a ffl. after the initial purchase there is no requirement on transfer unlike a handgun
