760 safety

I have a 760 with a safety that is left handed. It didn't bother me at first, but after hunting with it I hate it.

Can I have it changed somehow to be right handed?

I was constantly accidentally carrying the gun in the FIRE position due to my thumb pushing the safety. I had to constantly make sure the safety was on.

Re: 760 safety

U can change it over ur self. Take the two pins out that hold the trigger in, pull it out and turn it over. That is how I did mine.

Re: 760 safety

There were 2 safety's used on the 760's one has an oversized button and couldn't be reversed, the other you can pull the button out and turn it around and switch directions. Or you can order the new safety button from Brownells for about $3, the ones for 870's and 1187's may also be the same as the 760 I know they are the same as the 7600 but I don't know if the 760 and 7600 are exactly the same button.

Those buttons posted by 410er are the type that you can reverse so if that is what you have you don't need anything just turn it around.
