one caliber

I,ve asked this on a few other forums but wanted to as all you fellas also. What caliber would work for deer and also coyote without making a mess of them. I just started reloading so maybe a reduced load for yotes and a regular load for deer at say 250yds. Is there such a thing?

Re: one caliber

243, 2506 and 270 of the std calibers I feel are the best over the last 25 years I have used these in just such a application with the 2506 and the 270 tied for first I also used 6mm rem, ,708 among others in the last 3 years I have taken 11 coyotes and 8 deer with the 270 in 2 different rifles and I am working on a new load for the 2506 using a 115 grain Nosler Pt

Re: one caliber

You could try a .22 caliber such as 22-250 and load a 55 grain tsx in it.

Re: one caliber

I use my 22-250 with 45gr Barnes TSX, drops deer like a hand grende went off inside them and pokes a hole thru smaller animals. a 260 rem would be a good choice also.

It may be a poor choice of words but I am smart enough to understand what you meant.
