Mossberg Patriot Rifles?

Does anyone have any experience with them? They look like nice guns at an affordable price. I just found out about them and was wondering if anyone owns one on here or is at least familiar with them.

Re: Mossberg Patriot Rifles?

I can't speak to the bolt rifles, but I bought one of their AR's last winter. I have tried every kind of ammo I can find, including handloads, to try and get the accuracy up. Best I can do is 5" groups @ 100yrds. It is fine for a fun gun, but I wanted a long range semi. I should have stuck with my previous impressions of Mossberg, they're cheep and that's it.

Guess it all depends on what you plan on doing with it. I would just be wary of any of the professional "reviews" online. The MMR was highly touted online, that's why I bought it.

Remember, shoot straight and shoot often.
Good... Bad... I'm the guy with the gun.

Re: Mossberg Patriot Rifles?

I don't have any experience with the patriot rifles, but I've had the 4x4's and the ATR100's. I've loved them and had zero issues. I wouldn't trade my ATR100 in 243 for anything.

Re: Mossberg Patriot Rifles?

If I was in the market for an affordable centerfire rifle I would be looking hard at the Ruger American.

The Ruger American only comes with synthetic stocks. The patriot comes with Walnut and Laminate which I would prefer over synthetic.
