Ruger Mark II compact 243

Hi I never had a Ruger, are the bolts suppose to be real sloppy when bolt is in the back position to chamber a shell. I have other brand guns in bolt action and nothing near this bad.

Yes the Rugers are sloppy with the bolt extended. That's normal for them. Good luck.

They answered it already, lots of play, nothing wrong with it. Just wanted to say you have a nice rifle. I have the same in .260.
