barska

I was looking at point a scope on my 17 hornet and I was looking at Barska scopes. I like the price of the scope for the zoom and obj sizes. i was wondering if anyone has any experience with these scope and they are good or bad.

Re: barska

The price is not much different I would go with a Mueller much better for the price just my .02 cents.

Re: barska

Barska optics are complete garbage. If money is tight you can always put a Bushnell Banner on it and be light years ahead of some super zoom Barfka. I thing it's hard to beat the Banner in the budget price range. A few months back I put a 3-9x40 Vortex Diamondback on an old 700 I had. I was really disappointed in the clarity, low light performance and the .25 MOA adjustment not being .25.I should have spent the 20 bucks more and got a VXI, or I could have spent 80 bucks less, either way I would have had a better scope.

Re: barska

Tasco World Class scopes aren't bad for the money.

I'm so far behind I think I'm in first place.

Re: barska

I'm with Trout, get a Mueller if you can't afford top-o-the-line. I put one on my 35 Whelen last summer and no problems yet. And that thing really kicks the snot out of me, so we'll see about recoil issues. Other than that, haven't had a problem with the ones on my 223 and 22 mag either. Those two have been mounted for about 3 years without a lick of a problem... Except when I'm not on my game.

Remember, shoot straight and shoot often.
Good... Bad... I'm the guy with the gun.
