Any S&W collectors

Just wanted to give any Smith and Wesson collectors that may be on this site a heads up about an auction coming up on sunday April 26th at Reddings auction in Gettysburg Pa. I am in no way affiliated with the auction but they have several handguns listed that day that are probably once in a lifetime finds and would definitely be worth the look for serious collectors. If only I had more money.....

Its not about what you harvest, its about the time spent afield with family and friends.

Boy, I'll say! I'd like to see a listing of what they go for. But with a son tuning down private college scholarships to go to Penn State Behrend starting next fall, I'm going to stay away from that auction.

Pete, I may be able to let you know what they sell for. I certainly wont be bidding on them but I may go check out some of the rifles there that day

Re: Any S&W collectors

Huntscpa, yeah, #69-77 & #179 & #180. I'd be interested in 180 if it wasn't unfluted. Like the look but not the extra rotational mass.

In the rifles:

#40 - sweet. The only caliber that might ever get me look at a model 88.
#170 - I've never seen one in Ackley Improved. It will be interesting to see if that ruins the collector value. Wouldn't bother me, cause I shoot everything I own.

Thanks!
