.243 for whitetail

Just picked up a Remington 700 in 243 and was wondering what bullet you guys use for whitetail? I picked up a box of Barnes vor-tx in 80 grain tipped tsx to see how it shoots

Freezer full yet?

Re: .243 for whitetail

I've used 85gr Hornadys on deer with great results. Also used 100gr Rem. Core-Lokts

Re: .243 for whitetail

I have only shot one deer with a .243. I used the 95gr. Nosler BT, with fine results. I have heard of alot of good results using the Sierra 85gr HPBT Game King.

Good luck, Tony

Re: .243 for whitetail

I've had great luck with Nosler 95 grain Ballistic Tips in my .243 rifle. It's very accurate and hits hard way out there nearing the 300 yard mark.
