Gun value

Lets say I bought a Stevens 200 back when they were &199.00 and then added a $100.00 trigger ,$100.00 stock and a $275.00 scope ....Would it be worth $675.00 or is it just a $200.00 gun with lipstick and mascarra

Somewhere as Strut10 said in between. Theres a lot of variables there like why new stock and so on. Just went through this with a guy and his rifle he was selling.

Not much more than base value. Instead of adding expense to an inexpensive gun, save until you can lay your cash down for high quality. No one looking for that model will care about an aftermarket trigger or stock. Scopes you can generally get 50% of investment back.

In most cases, a custom rifle is built to your tastes. You would need to find someone who appreciates it as much as you do in order to recoup your investment.

Swap all those accessories back with factory products, sell each individually. That's how you will get the most bang for your buck.

Agreed.

Some people will want to buy the base rifle and build off it themselves. In the right market; you could likely recoup most of the original cost of the base rifle.
