Johnsons Gun Depot, Mt Pleasant

Anyone have any experience with the gun shop in Mt Pleasant?

Looking for a used shotgun, and seems like they have a pretty big inventory, no pics on sight though.

About an hour drive, so any input would be apprciated.

They have lots of guns new and used. Their prices are a little high for their new guns. Not sure how much they will deal with used but I'm thinking if you go in with a car buying attitude they may come down a little. They seem almost over stocked with used guns so they should deal to get rid of some especially at this time of year.

Bought a mossberg 20 gauge last year there to make into a lightweight turkey gun. Gun was beat up alil and missing front sight they knocked the price down when I pointed out flaws. That's the only transaction I have had with them but they treated me right I would buy from them again.

I work right by them. They have a good amount of guns but their prices seem high to me. I traded in a rifle there it was unfired the next time I was in there they had it for sale as new for full price. If you would like me to look at something for you send me a pm.

Huge selection of used guns, more than new but prices are high! If they have something you really want go for it, but not worth the drive to check it out.

I live about 10 minutes from the store and have only bought one gun from them. I've bought more in their parking lot after they offered customers ridiculously low prices for guns they were trying to sell/trade in. They were very competitive with their prices several years ago but not anymore.

Re: Johnsons Gun Depot, Mt Pleasant

I was there a few weeks ago. They have a bucket of remington 22 ammo on their shelf for $134. I bought a few of the same buckets at Dumhans for $67. Its a shame a reputable gun shop like them is still gouging their customers on ammo. I'll spend my money elsewhere.
