Refurbishing a shotgun
I have a 1956 Browning Superposed 12 gauge made in Belgium that was handed down to me from my grandfather. It shoots fine, however cosmetically it could use some help. Apparently he did a poor mans camo job on the barrel, painting it green. Possibly green spray paint. There is also some rust on the metal as well. Not real heavy rust, but rust the same. I really don't know the value of this gun, if it would be worth trying to get fixed up? If this could be something that I could try to tackle myself or if I should take it to a professional. Any tips, pointers, would be appreciated. Thanks.
