Gun registration question

Two years ago my dad passed away and I picked up his Glock. What do I need to register it to me?

Why would you want to register it?

Re: Gun registration question

Parent to sibling is one of the exceptions. Pretty sure you don't need to do a thing.

Re: Gun registration question

You need to do nothing. There is an exception in the law for gifts btwn certain family members. There also is no such thing as gun registration, and we don't want there to be.

Re: Gun registration question

I hate to break it to you but the psp do in fact have a illegal registry of what pistols you own. They have been sued and won by not calling it a registry, but a data base of firearms and their owners is a registry.

Re: Gun registration question

Yep. Family used to have a store before the instant check system. Used to fill out that little white form in triplicate. One copy to the PSP, one to buyer's county sheriff, and if the buyer was unfortunately from Philly one to the Philly Police chief.

No way do I believe that they all destroyed those forms after.

Shoot straight

Re: Gun registration question

You can call it a registry if you would like...I would half agree with you. I would clarify by saying there is no mandate to "register" all the guns you own to yourself. One can obtain firearms (including handguns) any number of legal ways and stl not have them show up in the "sales database"...aka registry.

I have a CC permit, you're saying I can still legally carry this gun?
