Awesome rifle and cool story.
No doubt the rifle is an oldie but no way to tell how long it has actually been left out in the elements propped up against the tree.

Our forefathers didn't bury their guns. They buried those that tried to take them.

a 132 years ago it was a fine rifle, now it is just a rusted piece of scrap. What would be cool is if they would find human remains from that time period by the site.

Probably happens more often then you think......Hunter returns to camp forgetting about his gun, then can't locate the spot where he was hunting to retrieve it...
