How do I sell a rifle?

I would like to sell a Winchester model 70 that I have but I never did a person to person transaction. Is there any paperwork I need or the person buying needs? Thanks

Re: How do I sell a rifle?

Nope, take the cash, hand them the gun...

Nothing else needed for a long gun such as a rifle.

My suggestions though:

Keep info on the gun. SN etc.
Get the Buyers name, I like to keep it. (I usually ask to se id)
Make sure they are over 18

Your just jealous because I've been chatting online with babes all day!!

Re: How do I sell a rifle?

If you are a Pa resident, the buyer must also be a Pa resident. If not, it must go thru an FFL

Alrighty then!

Re: How do I sell a rifle?

Can you ship a rifle (pa res to another pa res) without going to a ffl dealer?

Re: How do I sell a rifle?

I thought shipping a rifle regardless of where it was going had to be received by an ffl?

Nope. Perfectly legal to ship a long gun within Pa to another Pa resident.

Re: How do I sell a rifle?

Going through an FFL solves liability concerns if the buyer goes nuts..
