Re: scopes........

scope can go bad. the recticles can get stuck and not move. most if not all new scopes have a decent warrenty on them.

Should I shoot? I don't care, im not the one holding the gun, if it was me, we'd be skinning by now.

Re: scopes........

All scopes can and do go bad, regardless of their name.

Re: scopes........

I think they can. Also some thing could have gotten loose on the last shot before putting it away.I learned the hard way to check a gun every year before use now.I missed an easy shot at a doe in early muzzie season at 50 yards.Went to the range and fired two shots from a clean barrel.Off to the right 8-10 inches at 25 yards. So my guess is at 50 it was off by feet.

Bob Seger,till it shines.

Re: scopes........

Easy to check.
Shoot a shot and then move it 12 inches up.
Shoot a shot, then move it 12" to the right.
then shoot a shoot and move it 12" down.
then shoot a shoot and move it 12" left the next shot shoould be right where it Started.

If the reticule movement is "hung up" sometimes just moving it all the way right, then all the way left, then up all the way , then down all the way will correct the problem.
